The Georgia Association of Teacher Educators (GATE) is the state affiliate of the Association of Teacher Educators (ATE), the only national individual membership organization dedicated exclusively to advancing teacher education. Together, ATE and GATE are committed to strengthening educator preparation and improving the quality of education through collaboration, research, advocacy, and professional learning.
GATE brings together educators from Georgia's public and private colleges and universities, as well as P–12 schools, who share a commitment to excellence in teacher preparation. Its diverse membership represents a wide range of experiences, perspectives, and areas of expertise, united by the belief that meaningful improvements in teacher education are best achieved through the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders.
